The Start Of Something...



Welcome to our first ever blog as a company! We wanted to make a resources page for all members and non members to come and gain knowledge of everything fitness and health related. Disappointingly this day and age it is hard to find a site that you can trust and know the person behind the blog isn't getting paid to write about certain nutrition, training or health products.


So we are creating a whole blog based on TRUE and PROVEN strategies and products! We will be getting other people and companies to add to the content that will increase your knowledge but also help you gain results. We are creating this content to help you with the key reason being you can trust the content we publish.


So with this said and the reasoning of why we are creating this blog written above, we best start by writing a bit of a background of us The Fitness Mill.


Our Background

We are the oldest gym in the Stroud district and have been here for 26 Years now. Located just off London Road, Thrupp in a trading estate called Griffin Mill. We are situated in two old mill buildings. The buildings hold so much history but it also means we have an iconic facility with huge amounts of natural light and exposed brickwork. The Darby family bought this gym in 1993 and have owned it ever since and still do! A small family business that has provided a fitness space to Stroud for 26 years and have built a community around the gym. We task all our staff to try learn nearly all members by first name basis and to build a relationship with every individual that steps through these doors. First impression is key and we aim to make it last!


We recently finished a full internal refurbishment (September 2018) of which the changing rooms were ripped out and completely replaced, a full new weights room, new personal training area and much much more. But this isn't the only thing that has changed! With our brand new equipment we plan to increase the public's knowledge and to help members achieve their goals through new training techniques and programs! This will all be done through our fully qualified staff that hold the following qualifications; Degrees in Strength & Conditioning, Level 3 Personal Trainers, Registered Dietitian, Rehabilitation Coaches, Physiotherapists, Sports Therapists and the list goes on!


This is where our Blogs come into play! We will be giving out all this relative information for FREE! We have the qualifications, track record and results to give out proven knowledge that will help and work!


We will aim to publish two blogs a week in different categories so there is always something to be read.
